Maryland Fail To Reach Insurance Enrollment Goal



Maryland projected that 150,000 Marylanders would enroll in health insurance plans through the Affordable Care Act. However, only 67, 757 Marylanders signed up under the Affordable Care Act. There were 14 states in all that created their own health-insurance exchange and Maryland was one of them. The health-insurance exchange seemed to have it’s own problems. It was reported that most of the funds was used towards technology expenses. The blame is being placed on contractors for failing to deliver what they promised.
