Grain Alcohol Banned For Maryland



I tell you Governor O’Malley has been busy with signing bills this week. Well this bill that was signed on Monday also and it bans the sale of alcohol that is 190-proof and stronger. The new law will take effect July 1. One of the reasons why grain alcohol was banned was it is seen as a cheap and reliable way to get drunk quickly. Any person selling at retail alcoholic beverage with an alcohol content of 95 percent or more will face a misdemeanor charges with a fine up to $1,000.
