Ride to combat cancer is coming to the Baltimore/DC area. The statistics is alarming. One in two men will be diagnosed with cancer and one in three women also. Each rider is responsible for raising $2,500 donation and each pedal and every mile is how they’re going about fighting this disease. The ride will begin in Washington, D.C. as well as end there and it’s a two day, 150 mile ride. More than 1,500 people have signed up for this event so far. According to WJZ, “All the money raised benefits research and treatment at the Johns Hopkins Caner Center, Sibley Memorial and Suburban Hospitals. The event takes place September 13 and 14.
