A lab in Maryland more specifically Fort Detrick, MD are planning to study on the drug given to treat two American working who contracted the Ebola virus. The USAMRID has been studying Ebola for decades now. “USAMRID spokesman Caree Vander Linden said, “A study this fall will be designed to determine the ideal dose of a drug called ZMapp.”” The drug is called ZMapp and it is produced by San Diego based Mapp Biopharmaceutical Inc. ZMapp is a mix of three engineered antibodies that is grown in a tobacco plant.
The study will not involve humans.
