Now I found this interesting because for the first time since I started driving I found myself in 3 accidents; note one wasn’t my fault. I have recently found out what may have been the problem behind that. However, According to the National Highway Transportation, a car crash occurs every 10 seconds in the United States. They also report that drivers from Massachusetts to DC are at higher risk for getting in an accident.
Aggressive driving, drunk driving, and drivers who are distracted are some of the leading causes of accidents. Let me also add that congested roads and construction in Maryland make driving dangerous for drivers. Here in Maryland, the Maryland State Police SPIDRE team target drunk drivers especially during the holiday season. However, according to a study, being distracted while driving is the number one cause for all accidents.
Note that according the CDC, 2.5 million people went to the ER after being involved in a vehicle accident in 2012 and 200,000 were hospitalized. People please be careful when you’re driving!
