Yes this will be free and the Baltimore County Department of Health will be offering this two hour course. This course will teach participants to recognize, prevent and respond to overdoses of heroin, morphine and oxycodone. They will also learn about intra-nasal naloxone which is used to reverse an opioid overdose. It is a prescription medication. The training is scheduled for Tuesday at the English Consul Volunteer Fire Department on Michigan Avenue in Baltimore from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. After the training, those in attendance will get a certificate of completion, naloxone prescription and a kit that contains the medication. You must pre-register!
