Jared Fogle who became a family favorite when he showed us how much weight can be lost while eating subway was indicted on child porn and child sex charges in August. New evidence that led to his arrest has surfaced and it’s in his own words. Fogle was being secretly recorded by a woman who befriended him. She then became a FBI informant. Rochelle Herman-Walrond, a former radio host who interviewed him became suspicious when she overheard him saying he found middle school girls attractive. In the audio recordings, Fogle discusses his sexual interest in children.
“I like all ages. That’s the thing I mean,” he says. “It depends.. who is read for what. You know, who’s going to give you the glance.”
Jared Fogle even details the process of how he approaches his victims.
“”We just start sharing stories, and then, you know, we get a little closer, and a little closer, and a little closer, and before you know it…it just starts to happen,” Fogle told Herman-Walrond, saying it was not hard “at all.”
The recordings were aired on Daytime talk show “Dr. Phil” and verified by CBS News independently with the FBI.
Subway has cut ties with its spokesman following his arrest. Fogle is facing 5 to 12 years in prison and up to $500,000 fine.
