Teens Plead Guilty To Killing and Grilling A Timber Rattlesnake

4591608925_8223f2e478_zOnline court records show that four teens pleaded guilty Tuesday in the district court in Cumberland, Maryland. They plead guilty to possessing and destroying a snake. Each has been fined $500 with $300 suspended. They received probation in which their convictions can be expunged after the probation period.

According to the Maryland Natural Resources Police, “The men were camping in the Green Ridge State Forest in August when they killed the snake with a BB gun and grilled it.”

The timber rattlesnake is protected species in Maryland.

However, my question is what made them want to eat a snake and why would they? Can someone say yuck!
